Theosebia of Nyssa/Harmandalı (d. AD 385)

Theosebia was the daughter of Basil the Elder and Emmelia. Although some historians have suggested that Theosebia was the wife of Gregory of Nyssa, this is questionable. She served as a deaconess at the church of Nyssa alongside her brother Gregory. She dedicated herself to caring for the sick, distributing food to the homeless, and raising orphans. When Gregory of Nyysa was exiled for his opposition to the false teaching of Arianism, Theosebia joined him. She died in 385.
