Apostle Paul’s Message to the Ephesian Elders (Acts 20:17-38)
At the end of Paul’s third missionary journey, in the spring of 57, he had the Ephesian elders meet him in the Aegean harbor city of Miletus. His message to the Ephesian elders provides us an insightful glimpse into Paul’s three-year ministry in Ephesus (Acts 19:1-20:1). It included a prophetic warning
concerning the emergence of false teaching in Ephesus’ future, which give us background understanding to the ministry challenges faced by Timothy (1 Timothy 1:3-7) and the apostle John (1 John 2:18-22, 4:1-6).
