The Second Family of Cappadocia Saints Nazianzus/Karballa/Güzelyurt

The “Second Family of Cappadocian Saints” originated in the marriage of Gregory the Elder and Nonna. They had three children: Caesarius, Georania, and Gregory the Theologian. Gregory the Elder and Nonna were from wealthy families, and they owned a large piece of property in Karballa (modern Güzelyurt). Today there is monastery-turned-hotel in Güzelyurt named Karballa.
