The Christian Life is Spiritual Warfare (2 Corinthians 10:2-5)

The Christian life is not neutral, it is a daily spiritual war. For Satan and demonic powers scheme and prowl around like hungry lions looking for those they can attack and devour. Their plan is to oppress and destroy individuals, families, and societies. Unfortunately, too often Christians live such passive spiritual lives that we allow dark forces to create strongholds in our lives and to spread arrogant lies. But as Paul emphasizes below, we must be empowered with God’s spiritual weapons to engage in this daily spiritual fight. Today, be filled with the Holy Spirit and get engaged in the spiritual battle. For in Jesus Christ we are more than conquerors. Live a victorious  life, for Jesus is with you and he will never leave you. And never forget, faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains!

(2 Corinthians 10:2-5) I beg you that when I visit you again I will not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people in Corinth who think that we live by the ways of this world. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as this world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of this world. On the contrary, our weapons possess God’s divine power to destroy (tear down) strongholds. We overcome arguments and every arrogant opinion that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
