Roman Emperor Constantine V  of Constantinople (Istanbul) (AD 741-775)

Constantine V ruled as emperor for thirty-four years, from 741 to 775. He married three times. With his first wife, he had a son, Leo IV, who later became emperor. His second wife was childless. With his third wife, Eudokia, Constantine V had five sons and one daughter. She was Saint Anthusa. Constantine V was a destroyer of Christian icons, and he attempted to destroy any churches or monasteries that defended icons. He died in September 775.
