It was a Turkish couple–Ugur Sahin and Ozlem Tureci–who started the German medical company BioNTech that assisted Pfizer in developing their vaccine.

I believe one is from Antioch and the other from the Black Sea region. Google it.

I have been engaged in Turkey for over 30 years. Each year I lead biblical tours there. Turks always amaze me. I think it is the Turkish tea (chai).
