We Need Spiritual Fathers and Mothers in the Church!
The greatest mistake in our modern time—especially in the Western Christian world—is for organizations (church and parachurch) to push fully developed older leaders aside and replace them with developing younger leaders.
This is a tragedy of organizational thinking verses kingdom of God thinking. Instead, developing younger leaders should be brought alongside developed older leaders.
God develops leaders over a lifetime to advance his kingdom purposes, and younger leaders are still going through leadership development phases in life.
Because these younger leaders are still being developed by God, they are often organizational leaders and have not yet entered the convergence phase of spiritual fathers and mothers.
The Western Christian world is in desperate need for fully developed spiritual fathers and mothers who can impart to others a lifetime of experience, giftedness, wisdom, and love.
